Apple Zestar! 5 Year

Developed by the University of Minnesota and released in 1999, this apple is sweet and tart with a hint of brown sugar. It is also crisp in texture. Zestar! is good for both fresh eating and cooking.

Apples require pollinators, so another variety of apple should be nearby for production. Some good pollinators are Cortland, Dolgo Crabapple, Empire, Golden Russet, or Yellow Transparent.

This tree is Zone 4, so it will do well in most of the region including the colder areas such as Rathdrum and Athol.

Trees need full sun and should be planted minimum 10ft apart from other fruit trees.
