THE baking apple. It is very tart, juicy and firm. It is also a good storage apple.

Apples require pollinators, so another variety of apple should be nearby for production. Some recommended pollinators include Cortland, Cox Orange Pippin, Gala, Golden Delicious or Summerred.

This tree is Zone 6, so it will do well in areas such as Spokane. It can also be grown in sheltered areas or nearby water such as Lake Coeur d'Alene or the Spokane River. These trees do prefer well drained soil, so they should not be right along the water.

Trees need full sun and should be planted minimum 10ft apart from other fruit trees.
