Apple Pound Sweet 4 Year

Pound Sweet (sometimes called Pumpkin Sweet) apples are a heritage variety from the United States. It is known for being a large, firm, sweet apple. They are very good for baking, roasting, saucing, and stewing. While not recommended for fresh eating, they store well and are sweet enough that sugar might not need to be added to recipes. 

Apples require pollinators, so another variety of apple should be nearby for production. Some recommended pollinators include Macoun, Spartan, Golden Sentinel, Gala, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or Dolgo Crabapples.

This tree is Zone 4, so it will do well in most of the region including the colder areas such as Rathdrum and Athol.

Trees need full sun and should be planted minimum 10ft apart from other fruit trees.
